A few months ago, when it was still winter, I walked out to the middle of the pond in the middle of the night. It was the first time I had ever seen a frozen pond. We don't get things like that down in Georgia.
So, I sat on the pond and had my nighttime thoughts out in the cold instead of underneath my usual warm, cozy comforter.
The next day, I was telling my friend back home about my little outing. I told him about how relaxing it was, and I described the whole thing as "beautiful".
To that, he responded, "I don't use words like that anymore. I don't know that I ever did."
Proof among many: I have turned into such a tool.
